Old Footage, Made New (Again)
You’ve shot plenty of footage in the past, and some of it is still on the cutting room floor. It’s time to put that footage to work! Borrow a character from one shoot, and plop them into a whole new set using compositing, motion graphics and CG. It’s like stealing candy from a baby in 2017 and giving it to a baby in 2020.
User-Generated Content
The world has never had more cameras capturing engaging footage. Late night shows are being filmed from home. Google Hangout Potlucks and Zoom Happy Hours are now a thing. It’s time to be alone, together. Recontextualizing stock footage or old media along with public submissions is going to be a prominent form of content these days.
Compositing (make anything happen)
Compositing will be our greatest tool in navigating these paused times. Any form of still photograph, old footage, user-generated content, motion graphics or CG element can be refreshed, combined, and redesigned to create something new.
CG Environments
While the experience of the physical world is temporarily limited to the square footage of our quarantines, our imaginations can take us anywhere in (or out of) the world.
